The Big Move: Furniture for Sale

If you haven't heard it yet, we're moving out to California this summer, and that means we have a long list of things to do before we're settled in our new home.  First things first, we need to start downsizing for the move, and we have quite the number of things to sell off.  Remember all of those nice pieces of vintage furniture we have... yeah, many of them are now for sale!  So for this post we'll be showcasing all of the items we still have available, and giving you--our readers--first dibs.  The catch is that you have to be local, pay with cash, and be able to carry your purchases away yourself.  Comment or email us with any questions or offers!

Starting off with a bang!  This is my favorite piece we will be selling.  With it's brass, details, and hidden white drawers this American of Martinsville mid century dresser/credenza couldn't get any cooler - $450

The largest item we have available is our beautiful solid walnut hutch.  It is in awesome shape, and even has sliding glass doors (for the two largest shelves) that we have kept safely stored away -$450

Our freshly re-upholstered and incredibly comfy Danish modern daybed will also be available.  I am reluctant to sell this, but it's a bit large, and we are trying to downsize, so we think we should really let it go - $850

Our mid century media stand is a great piece, and highly functional--it currently holds many dvds, electronics, and vintage video game systems - $150

This beautiful Craddock Dependable Furniture display/buffet has been displaying stock in our apartments for years now, but it might just be that time - $200

This awesome mid century room divider/bookshelf with sliding panels will also be available.  I've never seen another of these, and I would definitely keep it if I wasn't moving - $250

Our original orange upholstered Eames chairs will be up for grabs as a set or individually - $425 for both or $225 for one

And there's more... much more.  This is the majority of the big furniture pieces we still need to sell, but we also have tons of smaller vintage items we want to clear out before the move.  We're planning to have a huge yard sale next month, too, but if you're local and want to get first dibs, feel free to contact us about coming on over to shop!

Shoot us an email for more information on specific items.  We will consider price negotiations and trades (we'd really like a womb chair!), but the best way to get a good deal is to buy more!  Remember, by buying from us you're helping a young couple start a new life on the west coast :)

Any other furniture in the photos that I did not mention is either not for sale or sold already!

  1. Wow, you guys have a truly enviable collection of furniture! Too bad I don't live anywhere near the East Coast. Maybe you can bring it to California and then sell it? Just kidding! Anyway, best of luck with the move!

  6. Blessings to you as you leave behind some things you love, and find some new things to love in California :)
